WHAT WE DO

Do you remember Jina Mahsa Amini? The young Iranian woman was arrested by the morality police in Iran. Why? Yes, she had not covered her hair sufficiently. The police beat her and she lost her life.

The world rose up in protest to express their solidarity. The “Women, Life, Freedom” movement was born.

In SASH we fight for women and young people like Mahsa Amini. Some of us have an Iranian background. And have ourselves experienced violations in Iran, both physically and mentally.

We must not forget brave men and women like Jina Mahsa Amini.

What is SASH:

  • An organization that was founded in March 2024. We have a professional background in either human rights or the Middle East .

  • We will promote the rights of women and youth from the Middle East and Central Asia.

  • Our vision is a society where everyone can live freely and with dignity without fear of discrimination or oppression.

What does SASH:

  • We intervene in the debate with articles and give presentations at libraries, schools, etc.

  • We influence the Danish government and authorities to promote the rights of women and young people.

  • We launched an awareness campaign on young people’s access to educational opportunities and dropout in Iran.

  • As part of the WPS network, SASH contributes to the work on UN Resolution 1325 and Denmark's National Action Plan for Women, Peace and Security.

  • We actively work to expose  and combat gender apartheid.

  • Donate money to SASH – we appreciate all support.

  • Become a member of SASH: You will receive invitations to exclusive events throughout Denmark. You will receive newsletters directly to your inbox.

  • Sign up as a volunteer - let's discuss what you can do specifically.
