About SASH
SASH (Solidarity Acts Spark Hope) stems from activism that emerged in the wake of the Women Lives Freedom movement. When we unite in solidarity, we connect and inspire each other to become advocates and agents of change, enabling transformative change. This idea is the driving force behind our work, and guides our ambitions to create a more just world for women and young people in the future.
We are an association that functions as both a platform for activism and education. Here, members work together to address social, political and cultural challenges that affect the rights of women and youth in the Middle East, Central Asia and their diaspora in Denmark.
Our association is a gathering place for a diverse group of individuals who share a common vision of equality and justice for women and youth in the Middle East and Denmark. We will also promote a thorough understanding of the concept of "gender apartheid" and support the campaign against gender apartheid in solidarity. We see the emergence of regimes that openly oppress women with legislation. We will especially work to educate politicians and create engagement among the public to achieve meaningful change.
Together we will fight to keep alive the flame of hope for change that people carry in their hearts, so that they can continue to dream and fight for a more just world.
